The main complaints I have seen about this laptop is the lack of input/output ports. Let me start with what it has: four USB 2.0 ports, a headphone, a microphone jack, Ethernet port, modem port, infrared port, S-video port, serial port (9-pin), port replicator jack (bottom) and a monitor port. Now, what it doesn’t have. No firewire. No media-card reader. No parallel port.

I can’t speak for pre-installed software, I bought it through my college, so they pre-loaded it specially with what they thought I needed. Nothing to write home about.

Now for the warranty, I paid a hefty amount to have a Battery Charger Dell Latitude C510 very nice extended warranty. I have it for three years with a three year complete care (it idiot-proofs the thing in case I do something obscenely stupid). A few problems. I was very disappointed in the resolution of the screen and the text being so tiny — now I’m used to it, but at first, I felt very mislead by Battery Charger Dell. Remember, you can dumb down the resolution, but you only have a few wide-screen options and they’re not sharp. Go for the middle option (SXGA) as far as screens. Another issue: the size. It surprised me how bulky the D810 was when I first saw it. Obviously Battery Charger Dell didn’t make a huge effort to make it very slim. That goes along with the sort of boring design, you’re not going to be winning "coolest looking notebook" competitions with this thing. The system runs hotter than most notebooks, but it’s not a huge issue. The lack of external media buttons is a drag, but then again, Battery Charger Dell Latitude C610 this notebook is geared towards the business sector.

The pros far out-weight the cons here. It is an excellent laptop.

Runs very fast and smooth, rarely if ever freezes, hasn’t crashed, etc. Battery Charger Dell Latitude C640 The speakers are great (for a laptop), the monitor is amazing crisp and sharp, and the over all feel of the laptop is very high quality.

Bottom line is the D810 is a great computer. A few annoyances (see above), but they can be forgiven. If you’re a professional looking for an extremely potent, reliable desktop replacement for a good price then the D810 is it. Students, I recommend this to you too. It’s a little heavy to be super-portable, but is fine in a backpack.

In my comparison shopping I’ve "built" many systems and Battery Charger Dell’s process is one of the best. The options that are available are very clear, you can click on links for more info, and the layout is pleasing to the eye.

To me this is an important part of the buying process because it reflects the efficiency of the manufacturer and its readiness to please its customers. However, when the order gets to the "boxing" Battery Charger Dell Latitude CPx stage it seems to stay there for an inordinate amount of time. Battery Charger Dell’s explanation of this stage is that it is when they box all of the materials. Great, except:

I came to find out that during this boxing stage, Battery Charger Dell puts the laptop on a boat from Malaysia (where apparently all of their laptops, at least the Inspirons, are manufactured) to the US. I think it would be nice if Battery Charger Dell would inform the customer in some way about this, but it’s not a big deal. After that they shipped the package via UPS it took about a week to get to my place. Not bad, but not speedy.

It is what it is. Then there is a box containing the spacer for the modular optical drive bay, Battery Charger Dell Precision M50 some application/support CDs, the AC Adaptors, and the manual. It’s nice to see Battery Charger Dell includes a paper manual in addition to a PDF one (some manufacturers are moving to just PDF) for those times when your PC crashes and you can’t start it to read the PDF (doh!). The paper of the manual, however, feels thin and cheap and the manual is printed in black and white. Again, not a big deal, but not terribly impressive. I haven’t gotten a chance to read it yet.

All in all, nothing impressive, but it got here in one piece and with nothing missing, Battery Charger Dell Inspiron 600m so that’s nothing to complain about.

The 700m seems very sturdy. Especially durable is the bottom, which is made of a very hard plastic. Some people have mentioned that the touchpad click buttons seem sort of cheap, which may be true. However, they have a pleasant feel that doesn’t make me think "Man, this thing is a piece of crap" every time I click on something. Rather, I have more of an issue with the touchpad itself. it seems as if the top material of the pad comes into contact with a layer of plastic below, Battery Charger Dell Latitude D505 then sticks to it for a split second before coming back up. It’s tough to describe, but it does feel a bit cheap.

As far as looks go, the Battery Charger Dell is probably a mixed bag for most people. On the one hand, I like how Battery Charger Dell didn’t go with the same dark gray/blue color scheme that virtually every other Battery Charger Dell notebook sports. On the other hand, the light gray/splashes of white scheme isn’t all that much better. That’s just my opinion. It’s not that I don’t like it, but it’s nothing I’m especially excited about. They’re dull and not very bright. The Gateway my wife got, for example, has some nice bright, Battery Charger Dell Latitude D510 blue indicator lights. Battery Charger Dell should at least make theirs brighter. I do like that the actual icons themselves light up and not just a non-descript dot above them. It makes it easier to see which item is lit in the dark.

My 700m came with XP Home and a ton of other crap. More crap than came with a Gateway my wife just purchased. I decided to just clean it off rather than reload it with Pro because I wanted to keep some of the Battery Charger Dell support stuff that was on it.
